What does this cost me to buy on this site?
When you purchase music from the site you pay for the tracks or albums and applicable sales tax. There are no other charges associated with your purchase.
Do I need to set up an account?
Yes. No information will be shared with any outside party, the information shared is purely for the ability to complete the transaction.
How do I pay for purchases?
You can use any major credit card or Paypal. We have Paypal process all credit cards so at all times your financial information is secure. Austinmusicdownload.com does not store your credit card number because we never see your credit card information.
What if there's a problem with my download?
We work to ensure the site works without incident but should you have any trouble the link to the download will remain for 12 hours. Should you have any trouble please email us through the website so we can investigate.
How does this work once I download?
Once you pay with either your credit card information or Paypal, you will be returned to the site and click on MY ACCOUNT. Click on your download history and you will see an downward facing arrow. Click on that and the file will be downloaded to your computer. You can import the file from your media player. In iTunes under the File menu choose IMPORT. Alternatively this can play as a stand alone Quick time music file.
I have it as a Quicktime mp3 on my desktop but my iTunes player won't import it, what do I do?
Once it is on your desktop, you are correct. You can play it but to import it into iTunes your computer needs to know which program you want it opened with. Select the file but do not open it. On your system there is a GET INFO option, select this. Once there in the OPEN with information you should have choices of applications - if you mainly use iTunes, select iTunes. If you mostly use REALplayer, select that. You may also want to choose an option lower down in the screen that you prefer ALL similar files to open with the selected application as well. Its that easy.
Why do you have iTunes options on the website?
We hope you find music you like. Should you not find music to your taste through our clients, you can choose to click over into iTunes to purchase. We want you to have the music you like.
Do I have to have special software to play the music?
No special software is needed to play tracks you download from our site. If you have iTunes or Media Player you'll have all you need to play the music. Whatever mp3 music player you typically use will play these tracks.
What do I have to do make sure I'm in the drawings for the iPod shuffles or any of your other promotions?
Having a registered non-artist account is all that you need to do and check back to see if you won. No purchase is necessary to enter or win in the drawing. We'll email everyone to announce the winner. You will want to "white-list" any emails from austinmusicdownload.com so you receive notifications.
Then once you see you're the winner - reply back to us and tell us which color you want for your new Shuffle. It will be shipped directly to you. You must reply back in order to claim your prize.
If you do not reply back within fourteen (14) days we will make one (1) phone call to make sure you know you're the lucky winner. If after that call we don't hear back from you within forty-eight (48) hours, you have forfeited your prize and we'll hold a second drawing for a replacement winner. So keep your information current. The prize you lose may be your own!

Will these play on iPods and other MP3 players?
Yes, you can rest assured that you are buying DRM free mp3s - they will play on ANY mp3 player. Our artists provide 160 kbps which is a high resolution mp3 - often much higher than what you typically find on other mp3 sites.
